The distance between my couch and the tv is longer than the standard usb cable that comes with the PS3. That is why this cable is convenient. I only use this cable when my controller needs to be recharged and I can play and recharge it at the same time with this cable.
This product is versatile, yet lightweight and can be taken almost anywhere. USB cable can be used to charge psp, on the computer, while downloading stuff from the internet.
I ordered this when I ordered my PSP 3000. The PSP 3000 is not even listed. I need to return this unopened in order to get a refund. Called Amazon to check if it would work with PSP 3000, they did not know, told me to ask Intec (the manufacturer) and gave me their telephone. So beware before you buy. Called several times, couldn't talk to a live person and had to leave messages, but they never called back. When I received it, the item was labeled for PSP 2000 & PSP. So I have no idea if it would work for PSP 3000.
Intec's website does not provide support contact telephone number or email. In fact, when the "Customer Service" link on their website is clicked, a blank page comes up. Intec is not responsive, and customer service certainly doesn't seem to be a priority to them--although they printed on the box that they have a lifetime warranty and will repair and replace, what good are those words if they don't provide a means for contact, and messages are not returned, and the "customer service" page is blank--pretty empty words. PSP USB Cable I was able to use USB cable from my Garmin to make the connection, so I don't know if I need this product at all.
I didn't expect this so it was really a nice surprise. This cable not only came with the standard USB plug but it also had a charger attachment. SWEET. Now I can stop lugging around my laptop Charger and my PSP charger. :)
For the price, this can't be beat. It also includes another cable not pictured that can recharge the PSP while hooked to the computer. Easy to use and best USB/power cable I've found.
